You now know more than you did last year. Last year, you knew less. Last year you didn't know you'd know what you know now. This year, you're a better person than you were last year. You might not sense it or see it. But it's a promise of God to continue, to finish, and to complete the work He's begun in you. He's always working. He's always doing something to make you better. Body, mind, and spirit. Sometimes it doesn't feel like we're progressing. Rather it may even feel like we're digressing. Oftentimes this is because in order to move forward and develop, we first have to come to grips with what we don't know or what we don't have or where we've developed wrong or off course. It's in this portion of our growth that God is tearing away, breaking down, or removing the areas of our lives that are contrary to Him and His Kingdom. It's in these seasons where we must go low before we can begin to move forward in maturity, power, and purpose only as He prescribes it. These seasons don't feel like we're becoming a better person. These seasons can feel daunting and dark. But they are where God does His greatest work to teach us what we don't know. To lead us to where we're not yet. To cause us to become what He's always intended us to be. To become His sons and daughters who rightly bear His image and His name. You didn't know now what you knew last year. This year, you've grown. It may feel like you're less, but that is part of the process of becoming more like Him. He must increase. We must decrease. This year, you are a better person because Jesus is committed to conforming you to His image. Let go. Let God. He is for you. He will never leave you. He will finish what He began in you.

LIFE GROUP QUESTIONS:
1) As Jesus was at church a demon possessed guy began to cause a disruption and a distraction. Jesus simply rebuked him with HIS WORD. POWERFUL! God's Word is more powerful than the distractions and demons of this world and your flesh. How quickly do you respond to distractions and disruptions by leaning on God's Word? What are some of your favorite verses to quote when the battle gets real? God has given us His Word as a lamp and a light for our path so we don't walk in darkness. His Word is more powerful than our present feelings or situations. Grow in His Word! BELIEVE IT!
2) As soon as Jesus delivered the demon possessed man, Jesus' fame spread throughout that region. The men's healing and new life brought all attention to Jesus. Has God done this in your life? What ways have you seen God heal you or others and in turn receive the glory in your life? Has God allowed a disruption or dark time in your life to happen so that way His life and power can shine brighter? TESTIMONY TIME!
3) When Jesus went to Simon Peter's house He was told that Peter's mother-in-law was sick. Jesus took her by the hand, healed her and she in turn served Him and everyone in the house. How does Peter's mother in-law's story encourage you? How does it challenge you to serve Jesus and others in your house? The love of JESUS compels us to serve!
WHAT A BLESSING!
Another day is upon us to know Him and serve Him.
Let's do the next right thing and trust the process.
He is for us!
